CyberSat Summit
Led by practitioners who red-team and defend real-world space systems.
About the Exercise
Deep Space, Mine! puts your table in command of a realistic space mission, including its ground segment, link segment, and the bird itself, just as signs of compromise begin to surface. Across 90 fast-moving minutes, you’ll decide what to investigate, what to escalate, which risks to accept, and how far to go to protect the mission.
There’s no script and no single right answer. Each technical and operational choice changes what happens next. By minute 90, the mission you’re defending may look very different from the one you started with.
The Calls You’ll Have to Make
This isn’t a lecture. Your table will work through hard questions with no easy answers, making each call in real time:
-
Offense
“Can I red-team an operational satellite and, if so, are these the droids I’m looking for?”
-
Monitoring
“To SIEM or not to SIEM on orbit?”
-
Threat Hunting
“Should you threat hunt where no LAN has gone before?”
-
Patch Mgmt
“Patch the bird or accept the risk?”
-
Incident Resp.
“Do you pay the space pirate’s ransom?”
Who Should Participate
Built for the people who make, or live with, real security decisions about space systems. No prior tabletop experience is required, just a willingness to make your case at the table.

About SIXGEN
SIXGEN delivers national-level offensive and defensive cyber capabilities, including red-team assessments, threat intelligence, and incident response for high-value targets. Its work spans space system architectures from ground infrastructure to on-orbit assets. The team behind Deep Space, Mine! tackles these same questions every day: where a mission is exposed, how an adversary could exploit it, and what defenders should do next.
Registration
Deep Space, Mine! is a limited-capacity, $49 add-on to CyberSat 2026. A valid CyberSat pass is required. Because it runs concurrently with the main conference program, review the schedule before reserving your seat.
