Know Before You Go

Thank you for registering for CyberSat 2025. Below is everything you need to know to make your arrival and check-in as easy as possible for both the Unclassified Program at the Hyatt Regency Reston and the Classified Program at The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly.

Check-In Hours

  • Monday, November 17: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Tuesday, November 18: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Registration is located on the ballroom level. If taking the stairs from the lobby, please turn right and head to the built in registration desk next to the Lake Fairfax Room. Your CyberSat program badge will be issued here (please bring your badge to all days of the event you are registered for)

⚠️ Important Notice

This is a separate venue from the Hyatt Regency Reston. Classified-only participants will also be able to pick up their badge onsite.

Check-In Hours

  • Wednesday, November 19: Check-in opens at 8:00 AM ET
  • Thursday, November 20: Check-in opens at 7:30 AM ET

All Attendees Must Bring:

  • Your CyberSat program badge
  • A government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or military ID), or IC Blue Badge

Arrival and Entry Procedures

All classified attendees must enter through the parking garage.

  1. Upon arrival, drive directly to the guard checkpoint.
  2. Inform security you are attending CyberSat’s Classified Program.
  3. After verification, proceed to park in the garage and take the elevators to Level B2.
  4. The building entrance is located behind the B2 elevators.
  5. Upon entering the conference facility, you will be issued your visitor badge.

🚫 Electronics Policy

No cell phones, smartwatches, or connected devices are permitted inside the classified facility.

We strongly recommend leaving all devices at your hotel or secured in your vehicle. Limited on-site storage may be available but cannot be guaranteed.

Information for Workshop Participants

If you registered for a workshop, please review the details below so you arrive prepared.

Space ISAC Crisis Simulation Exercise

  • Participants must bring a personal laptop.
  • Government-issued or work-secured laptops may block the required access needed to participate fully.

Satellite Hacking Workshop
(Space Cyber Piracy 101)

Personal laptops are strongly recommended.

  • Internet access will be provided so participants can log into cloud-based lab infrastructure, which may not function properly on government or work devices.
  • Even if you are unable to actively log in, you will still benefit from observing the demonstrations and instructional walkthroughs.

Cyber-Theft Tabletop Exercise (TTX)

No equipment is required.

This session is a facilitated discussion and guided scenario. A laptop is not needed.
